TRAINING AND
CERTIFICATION
Ironworkers Local 444 is constantly working to improve safety and training.  Instructors
attend upgrade classes to keep up to date on new products and programs.  We are
committed to providing our members with the educational tools they need to work safe and
remain proficient in the ironworking trade.

Local 444 ironworkers just completed their latest 40 hour hazardous
materials course for apprentices.  This course includes a mock waste
site and exercises to familiarize the students with working in all levels
of PPE.

We are currently finishing up our last scheduled Signalman Course for
Journeyworkers.  Any members interested in taking part in the
upcoming Qualified Riggers Training courses should contact the
training office.  For those who travel large distances, we will be offering
a Signalman/ Qualified Riggers course for distant learners.  The
particulars of this training program will soon be posted on this site or
you can call the office.
